The group meets on the 3rd Monday of the month between 1.30-3pm.

- The Stokesley local history group was established with a number of aims in mind, the main ones of which are listed below:
- To document any archival sources of Stokesley history be they physical document or peoples memories
- To produce publications that document all aspects of Stokesley's history (e.g. public houses and the history of sports clubs)
- To arrange local exhibitions also with the aim of making the history of the area more accessible, but to also gather further material which may aid our research
- To liaise with local experts to both preserve artifacts of interest and to further the group's research
- To utilise the Facebook group 'Friends of Stokesley History' for publicity purposes.
